Creed Aventus has a cult that no other fragrance has. Smoky birch, bright pineapple, a confident fresh opening - and a price tag that makes you wince. Which is exactly why "inspired by Aventus" is its own genre now. Plenty of houses have a crack at the DNA. Here are the ones we actually stock and would defend to you in person.

First, the DNA itself: juicy pineapple and bergamot up top, smoky birch and musk underneath. The magic is the contrast - fresh and fruity on the surface, dark underneath. A good clone chases that same balance. A great one stands on its own even next to the original.

Lattafa Qaed Al Fursan

The straight shot at the classic opening - pineapple, a wisp of smoke, easy to wear. Nothing clever, everything right. If you have never tried an Aventus-style scent and just want to know what the fuss is about, start here.

Afnan Supremacy Not Only Intense

The one people mean when they say a clone out-performs the original. Richer and smokier than Aventus itself, with monster longevity - you will smell it at the end of a fourteen-hour day. It is the most reordered Aventus-style fragrance we sell, and it is not close.

Zimaya Sharaf the Club

The fresh reading of the DNA. Cleaner and easier than the smoky takes, so it works year-round and in Indian summers without choking anyone. If Aventus felt too heavy on you, this is the version that will change your mind.

Afnan Supremacy Collector's Edition

Inspired by Aventus Absolu - the darker, deeper flanker. More amber, more luxury, more evening. Think the same DNA dressed for a wedding.

Rue Broca Theoreme Matrix

The odd one out, and that is its charm. Inspired by a blend of Absolu Aventus and Hacivat, it mixes the smoky pineapple with a bright, oakmoss-y brightness. A twist on the DNA rather than a copy of it.

Being honest about it

Clones smell like the original; they do not smell identical to it. Side by side, someone with a nose can pick differences in the opening and the dry-down. Worn alone - which is how perfume is worn - almost no one can, and the price difference is enormous.

Performance also varies by batch and by skin. The same bottle lasts ten hours on one person and three on another. That is the fragrance working as designed, not failing you.

If you only try one, make it Supremacy Not Only Intense. If you want a lighter daily option, Sharaf the Club. If you want to be thorough, grab a couple of 3ml decants and let your skin - not a review - decide.
